BASEBALL

Though not as widely followed as soccer, baseball has a long and rich history in Mexico. Introduced in the late 19th century, primarily by American and Cuban immigrants, baseball has gained a strong following, particularly in the northern regions of the country. Today, Mexico boasts its own professional league, the Mexican Baseball League (LMB), which is one of the oldest leagues in the world. The sport is especially popular in states like Sonora and Sinaloa. MLB
